Albany School is going to particiate in Bikewise month this year.  Our aim is to bring bike awareness and safety to children.

We at Albany School participate in this fantastic event and on a given day, your child will be able to bring their bike to school and ride it at lunchtime.  They will need to have a properly fitted helmet and a bike safety check completed by parents or caregivers and the license filled out and carried by your child when riding their bike on their allocated bike day.  NO LICENSE NO RIDE.  Covered in shoes will also need to be worn, ie sandshoes, sneakers (no crocs).

We use this as an opportunity to remind/teach your child of the importance of bike safety awareness, as stickers will be given out to those children practicing appropriate biking behaviour.  Children displaying inappropriate behaviour will be issued 10 minutes time out tickets.

When your child brings their bike to school, they will take it to the allocated parking area outside Mrs Bathurst's office, where they will show their completed license.

Bring along your picnic tea for an evening of fun! FREE sausage sizzle, iceblocks, bouncy castle, face painting, tattoos, balloons, tug of war, egg throwing competition, dress up relay, and more.

This is our way of saying “thank you” for supporting FOS fundraisers throughout the year, and also gives you an opportunity to meet with other parents.

Slushy, hot food and coffee vendors also may be on site, however, these will be at a cost to the user.
