We will advise via email communication and our school app service when the registrations are open on Thursday through Enrolmy with the corresponding link.

We will be holding our SPORTS INFORMATION MEETING next Wednesday at 2.30pm in the staffroom.  We would request that all parents wishing to register their child in an after school sport attend Wednesday's meeting, or if unable to attend, view the linked powerpoint and refer any questions to Jan in the school office (jmunroe@albany.school.nz).

School Buses

School buses will be running as usual from Tuesday.  Emails have been sent to parents of students who catch our school buses with important information including updated Bus Users Agreements.  If your child catches a school bus and you have not received this email please contact Jan in the school office (jmunroe@albany.school.nz).

Stationery Lists

Stationery Lists are available on our school website (www.albany.school.nz).

School Hats

It is important to bring a school hat to school every day. For sun protection the blue Albany School hat is compulsory during Terms 1 and 4; these can be purchased from the office for $10.00. Children are not permitted outside in the direct sunshine during break times if they do not have a school hat to wear, they are required to be seated under shade.

Uniform

All children are expected to wear the correct Albany School uniform with respect and pride. This consists of plain navy shorts/pants (or culottes/skortz) with no visible stripes, emblems, brand names etc, a yellow school polo shirt and sensible shoes for active learning.  For health and safety reasons, all hair (shoulder length or longer) is recommended to be tied up.  Jewellery is not recommended for safety reasons, however, ear studs, a watch, or appropriate cultural / religious jewellery may be worn.

School Day Times

Just a reminder that the school day begins at 8.55am and concludes at 2.55pm and classrooms are not open with teacher supervision until 8.30am.  If your child arrives at school after 8.55am they need to sign in at the office and obtain a late pass.  If your child is going to be absent please advise the office via our school app, phone line (09 415 9668) or link on our school website. Kelly Club run a before and after school programme in Area 40. Contact albany@kellyclub.co.nz for further information.
